Nursing Home and Shut-in Ministry

Our congregation, missions team, and church staff seek to encourage local shut-in’s and nursing home residents through various means.  The missions team organizes regular game nights at Pleasant Acres for the congregation to get involved with.  Jim Bynes, minister of visitation, provides ongoing care to shut-in’s and nursing home residents.  These people can also have bulletins delivered to them and watch our church service broadcasted live on channel 76.

Music Ministry

Music is an important part of our worship services. We have a number of ways people can offer praises to God through music, as listed below.  Please contact one of the staff members on the “staff” tab for information of how to get involved.

  • Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir meets Wednesday nights @ 7 p.m. Any adults, as well as students in junior and senior high, are welcome to join. This group sings in church approximately 2 times each month.
  • Praise Teams
Praise Teams consist of vocal and instrumental musicians and lead the congregation in praise and worship. Praise Teams include adults and junior/senior high students.
  • Kids Choir
The Kids Choir is made up of children in first through sixth grade. They meet each Wednesday evening during Adventure Club. The Kids Choir shares its praises with the church approximately once every 6 weeks, and they also share in an annual Christmas program.
  • Bell Ensemble
Both adults and high school students participate in a bell ensemble, which practices Sundays at 5 p.m. Approximately every 6 weeks, the bell choir participates in the worship service.

Library

The church library is open to anyone whenever our doors are open.  Books and movies for adults are found in the library next to the church offices, and resources for children are found in the bookcase at the west end of the fellowship hall.  Both fiction and non-fiction items are available, including many contemporary titles by popular Christian authors.

Broadcast

The Sunday morning worship service is broadcast live on Cable Channel 76 and also live-streamed/archived.  Check the “connect” tab for more information.

Valet Parking

On Sunday mornings, Valet Parking is available for anyone wishing to have their car parked for them.  Drive up under the canopy on the East side of church and the parking attendants will park your car for you, bring your keys back to you, and you can go attend the worship service.  After church, they will be waiting to assist you in getting your car from the parking lot when you are ready to go home.
